Sealants & Preventive Care

For those patients whose teeth are showing the first signs of wear, decay or who have a history of dental problems associated with decaying teeth, sealants may be the answer. Sealants are plastic materials bonded into the grooves and pits of back teeth to prevent decay. They may be especially beneficial for children whose enamel as well as brushing and flossing techniques have not yet matured.
