Oral Surgery
The removal of wisdom teeth may be the most commonly thought of oral surgery procedure. Actually, any procedure which requires cutting of hard or soft tissues in the mouth is considered oral surgery. This may include things such as:
- tooth extractions
- biopsies
- implant placement
- bone regeneration
- “gum” surgery
- cosmetic recontouring of the gums for smile
enhancement and many other procedures.
Some surgeries are very simple and require almost no post operative precautions. Others may require medications, special diets, rest, etc. It is important to follow your individual instructions provided by Dr. Brueggen or his professional staff.
